Karen Read’s defense and the prosecution made their closing arguments in the high-profile Massachusetts murder trial before the jury began deliberations. Read is accused of hitting and killing her Boston police officer boyfriend John O’Keefe in Canton and leaving him to die in the snow.

    If I ever get falsely accused of a crime, I want the defendant’s lawyer. He’s excellent and leagues above the prosecutor. Btw, I’d vote…not guilty. The evidence is overwhelming.

    The Prosecutor has proven he has no actual case. Women ONLY fight with men to work things out who they love and care about. ALL of Karen's actions show how much she loves(d) and cares about him. Fifty phone calls? She was panicked he hooked up with another woman especially when it's 5:00 in the am and he still hasn't come home. Then, she panics and goes looking for him. If a woman were looking for her own missing baby she would see that baby. Same reason Karen saw him first.

    I haven't followed this case very closely.
    Mainly because the defendant is so unlikable and arrogant.
    I really didn't care how things turned out for her.

    Reguarding these two closing arguements……
    No comparison.
    One was precise, passionate, fully engaged, believable, compelling, professional, sucsint, and had composed his closing argument to conclude within the alloted time frame.
    Exceptionally well done.

    The other was indifferent, seemed board, scattered, misleading, not engaged with the jury, avoided the jury panel., unprofessional, and based on his notes, he had compiled about two or three pages more than he could ever have had time to say within the time allowed.
    He ended sloppy and poorly.
    He left me with the impression that he didn't enjoy carrying the water for the unspoken murderer/s.

    I believe she will be found
    NOT GUILTY.

    Hopefully she will be required to forfeit her drivers license.

    The Commonwealth did not prove its case, because it couldn’t. I believe the jury is smart, and will know this. Praying for the truth.

    Alan Jackson did a BRILLIANT job in his closing argument!! I somehow also think a lot of what he said was also in reference to Aunt Bev! “Conflict of interest?! Look the other way” “You have been lied to in this courtroom”! Looking at YOU Aunt Bev! She is an insult to the bench and should NEVER have been allowed to preside over this kangaroo case! Her behavior, along with the Alberts, McCabes, Higgins, and Proctor is just gross!

    It's so odd they allowed this case to go forward while the Lead Investigators are being investigated for their actions during this very case.
    Why would they let it go ahead if not for some bizarre belief that a jury of their peers… the McCabes, and all who gave testimony for the prosecution… their peers would blindly go along with them. Do they equate her being declared "guilty" would somehow prove their innocence?
