Law & Order FAILS at Character Departures

Since its soft reboot in 2021, Law & Order has been disappointing both its actors and fans with the handling of character departures. Numerous exits occur off-screen, resulting in unexplained absences that fail to provide closure or show respect for the audience. Camryn Manheim’s departure particularly disappointed fans, as her character’s final appearance amounted to an ordinary workday with no proper exit story.

This video, spent 2/3rd of the time saying the exact same thing.

This video is less than 3 minutes and the Intro that describes what the video is about is almost 1.5 minutes long. This is a major platform with professional editors. Be embarrassed.

I mean Jill Hennessey's character getting killed in a car accident on screen??? Elizabeth Rohm's character being betrayed as gay in her final scene with Trumpist Fred Thompson? Jesse L. Martin's character uncharacteristically snapping and killing someone? Dick Wolf has done many actors very badly!!!!!

So weird, we just watched an episode minutes ago!

I don’t necessarily think the character exits are abrupt. The show has always had a turnaround. The actors & characters are great, outstanding even, but the top component of Law & Order has always been its stories, and it has maintained the quality & topical nature of those throughout its impressive run.

    Honestly, kind of realistic.

Po-ig-nant! I think that is an inaccurate pronunciation. 😂

Since it's soft reboot? Bruh, it's been like this since day 1. And I don't agree with it was handled more gracefully. Especially whatever was going on with the production of Criminal Intent.

Also the fact the Dale Stucky got more dedicated episodes than Warner and Huang combined is terrible.

    I don't own a TV. I forget why I am here.
