    The only reason the Harkles get any publicity at all is because people enjoy having someone to despise. Markle is the reigning queen of the tabloids. She still gets top billing over the alien abductions and the two-headed chickens. They remain a hot commodity to that extent, but morbid fascination is not admiration.

    Meghan had an opportunity, but neither the wit, the talent, nor the fortitude to invest because she is no more than opportunist. The job was too much work and not enough glory. She is no Princess Diana. For all her mistakes and tribulations, Diana blossomed and remains much cherished by more than just the British people.
