After lagging behind neighboring counties, Multnomah County has improved its prosecution rate for misdemeanor retail theft.

    No credit for turning in your homework late, only continued shame. Oh wait, PPS banned deadlines, homework and tests. To make sure the pre-criminals being educated in our schools have a chance to become career criminals you need to continue the theme of zero consequences so please don't prosecute. We need to lower our expectations for all ages.

    I think what really changed is that the DA woke up to the realization that his reelection is hanging in the balance and he needs to get focused on what the electorate now is most concerned about. The platform that he ran on back in 2020 feels like a quaint and distant memory, since the pandemic, the protests & riots, Measure 110 and the fentanyl epidemic, and all the sh** that followed, kind of rewrote the playbook on just about everything in the wake of his election. Basically, he needs to pivot fast or get "pivoted" out of office.

    Not doing enough. We are about to lose our Dollar Tree and Goodwill. This also hurts low-income people who actually pay for things.

    Schmidt is the worst. He is a snake who only pretends to care. He is totally on the side of the criminals. He is only trying to save his job. I guarantee you that he loves the drug addicts who steal and hates the working class.
