    I remember when I just got into crypto back in 2019 but later in 2020 I ended up selling it because I was dumb and I didn't understand it. I studied and learned and now I know how it works. Got back into crypto early in 2023 with 10k and I’m up with 128k in a short period of time .This comment serves as motivation for all those who have invested and continue to invest in cryptocurrencies with so many losses, do not give up, cryptocurrencies can change your life. Do your best to connect with the right people and you will surely see changes.

    Protecting your capital is much more important than making money. Basically because if you lose your capital, making money is much harder. ''Missing the train'' vs. ''losing your money''. There are a lot of trains, but if your money is gone, it's over.

    Successful investing is hard work because it means disciplining your mind to do the opposite of human nature. Buying during a panic, selling during euphoria, and holding on when you are bored and just craving a little action. Investing is 5% intellect and 95% temperament.

    Investing is not as straight forward as these guys make it to be. They talk with the benefit of hind side and talk about their success stories. What about their failure stories? Also, why did Lynch retired, just sit in your home, do the easy thing of investing and collect $ millions. And if you don't want or need the money just give it to charity!!

    I have a 3 fund portfolio consisting of 33% S&P, 33% Total stock, and 33% international. I feel a need to focus on complete growth so I went 100% stocks, but does the SP500 and TSM overlap too much to make sense holding both? However I’ve been in the red for a month now. I work hard for my money, so investing is making me a nervous sad wreck. I don’t know if I should sell everything, sit and just wait but watching my portfolio of $450k dwindle away is such an eye -sore.

    I have been a dividend focused investor for a long time. This does not mean I don't own growth stocks, I do. A well rounded portfolio should be a mixture of both categories. One way to minimize the anxiety out of stock market investing, is to make sure you keep a large cash cushion. I invest in the market, but never put all my money in market.

    I feel investors should be focusing on under-the-radar stocks, and considering the current rollercoaster nature of the stock market, Because 35% of my $270k portfolio comprises of plummeting stocks which were once revered and i don't know where to go here out of devastation

    I agree that many people are considering NVDA as the "Stock of the year." However, I'm curious about which stocks could potentially become the next META in terms of growth over the next decade. I've allocated $200k for investment, looking for companies to make additions to boost performance

    I was advised to diversify my portfolio among several assets such as stocks and bonds since this can protect my inherited portfolio of about $2.5m. I’m used to just buying and holding assets which doesn’t seem applicable to the current rollercoaster market plus inflation is catching up with my portfolio. I’m really worried about survival after retirement.

    Boy was he ever right. My whole life I've been interested in computer technology, since the mid 90s as a kid. I bought my first custom PC build in 2006 after years of research for flight simulator and gaming performance in general. I knew what these companies did, knew they were great products and the best leaders in the industry, and knew other people who felt the same. But didn't know anything about stocks. The 4 companies I should have dedicated all retirement and discretionary income towards since 2006 were companies I was very familiar with… MICROSOFT, NVIDIA, INTEL, and AMD. These were companies and products I understood in an industry I understood. Look at MSFT and NVDA now!! Flight Sim basically required MSFT INTEL and NVDA for a good experience. Then Xbox was all MSFT and AMD and the rest is history….even 20 bucks a week since 2006 into these 4 companies equally would have netted millions.

    I went to a visit financial advisor a while back. One of their one-liners was 'Time in the market is more important than timing the market.' But my best investments came from timing the market using Emily ava milligan's pf as a guide. I invested in semiconductors, like NVDA, and I'm up over 200%. If I followed the advice and invested in an index, I'd have made maybe 5%

    For the average investor, the stock market is the best tool for long-term wealth creation. Still, many people can’t take advantage of it because they are trying to make quick money from the stock market. I put about $200k into the market and held good positions.

    My strategy has always been to invest half of my income in the stock market at the beginning of each month. The second part of my strategy is not to sell for at least 5 years, but recently my portfolio has suffered major decline about $150k in losses. What can I do please?

    Dividends are dope. Personally, I sometimes use my dividends to buy other dividend and growth stocks for diversification instead of reinvesting in the same stock. To each their own methods though. The good thing is that you’re investing in the first place and that’s what’s important. Salute for the content!

    scams in the comments careful trust yourself learn to invest yourself like peter lynch is saying in this video , you burn your money giving it away to someone else to manage your portfolio , and you get way way less gains paying someone else and their crummy investment advice anyway its a fun and interesting hobby to learn investing good luck .
