    As a Republican I dont understand why this was blown up the way it was. He had an affair, apologized, and was even impeached. This was trivial compared to Democrats current fraud, hoaxes, drug use, prostitution, and sexual harassment of women and children. Pedo Pete and his Bidophiles are far worse than anything Clinton did.

    The cheating and lying isn’t necessary. There’s plenty of people out there that don’t want to be married and clearly don’t want to be with just one person for so long. It’s sad, pathetic and horrific that society puts pressure on people to feel a need and/or makes them grow up believing they need to get married especially in politics. I think cheating and lying causes and/or adds to beginnings of people being comfortable with corruption. Hence political corruption is a given. One big lie often leads to many and thus compulsive behavior similar to addiction. It can easily get worse when surrounded by a history of it and when your peers are doing the same and/or helping you to lie and cheat with cover ups, affirming conversations, avoidance, etc. Compulsive behaviors happen to many people in many different ways. Being true, honest and real about who we are to ourselves let alone those close to us is a rarity. The unspoken word/truth is pretty common place so the fact this was such a scandal to the public seemed thick with hypocrisy then and now. Society still believes settling down, getting married and having children is best for everyone yet divorce, troubled children from divorce, spousal and child abuse, lying, cheating, etc. and a long list of fallouts from it all are still common place.
