Republican senators file ethics complaint against Sen. Mitchell after burglary arrest



Republican members of the Minnesota Senate filed an ethics complaint shortly after noon on Wednesday against fellow Sen. Nicole Mitchell (DFL-Woodbury).

The complaint comes one day after Mitchell was formally charged with first-degree burglary for allegedly breaking into her stepmother’s Detroit Lakes home early Monday morning.

    This is a domestic issue between her and her step-mother, and is none of the Senate's business, nor our business.

    She should not resign.

    Learn from this woman. If you have step parents, either ask your mom/dad for an early inheritance or that they create a Trust or Will with clear instructions of what you should receive of theirs following their death. If you avoid doing so because it's an uncomfortable conversation, then your step-parent may not give you one thing that belonged to your parent, including heirlooms and photos.
