Systemic Solutions: the World’s Women Changemakers Tackling Human Trafficking

The International Labor Organization estimates 40.3 million people fall victim to human trafficking globally, accounting for 150 billion dollars a year in global revenues. This behemoth of an industry affects tens of millions of people, and from a sheer number’s perspective, the scope and depth of this problem can be paralyzing. This session, led by Ashoka Europe’s head of Strategic Planning, Karin Haselboeck, will engage experts in the field of combatting human trafficking from the United States, to Mexico, to Romania. Three Ashoka fellows will delve into the systemic solutions required to tackle this enormous issue, and outline actions we can all take to keep our communities safe.
