The Emotional Turmoil: Recounting the Young Thug Trial Journey

Join us for Episode 16 as Trial Attorney Kenneth M. Willis delves into the tumultuous week in court, labeled “HELL OF A WEEK,” enveloping the trial of Young Thug. The narrative unfolds with State’s witness Kenneth “Lil Woody” Copeland’s weekend stint in jail for refusing to respond to the DA’s inquiries. The discussion touches on a suspicious meeting involving Copeland, Deputy DA Adrian Love, and the Judge; Young Thug’s attorney, Brian Steel, facing a jail sentence; the surprise appearance of Trump Co-Defendant defense lawyer Ashleigh Merchant advocating for Steel; the replacement counsel for Copeland under scrutiny for potential leaks from the contentious meeting; the Supreme Court of Georgia intervening to pause Steel’s incarceration pending further evaluation.

Listening to you educating the viewers on dabacle the Judge has created I learned a lot. I'm sure as viewers come across your channel they will suscribe. Again, thanks for expounding on ex parte .

Melnick taking off at this stage is ridiculous. Worse, since this has been going on for about 2 years, the judge should have asked the state to move on to other witnesses until Woody's lawyer returns. Forcing him (and intimidating him in the Ex Parte with indefinite jail time) to testify without his attorney is BS!

  • @dd8898 June 18, 2024

Someone needs to advise Lil Woody to get his lawyer back before the defense team cross exams him. The state’s questioning and credibility is trash at this point.

  • @NuncNuncNuncNunc June 18, 2024

Melnick had unrefundable tickets. That's the kind of zealous representation you can bank on.

Very nice breakdown and good advice.

#replay….Seems most of the State case hinges on Copeland. Now it seems to me there is key missing piece’s to his puzzle. The State barely touched on the fight with Copeland and Nuts brother. Now the brother was at the barber shop with Nut when he was murdered. ie Copeland robbed Nut, Nut brother tryed to rob/ beat up Copeland…Now go figure, the defense will get it out of Copeland….Copeland murdered Nut.

thank you for this video, excellent recap taking us through not only the events but also the setting, the mood, and all the important details

The meeting was held in the judge chambers. Allegedly, Woody was told if you say you unalive DT on the stand you going to jail but if you lie you won’t go to jail.

For the judge to be military he is never on time. 10 min comfort break somehow leads to 30-45 minutes

  • @dianar6235 June 18, 2024

New sub. Good review. I also agree judge seemed to be deflated a bit but he’s has been trash as a judge anyway. IMO

    I have a question
If it’s not inappropriate for the judge to meet with the sworn in witness and the prosecution why would the content of that meeting be proprietary? And did Kayla know she wasn’t to share the info I honestly think Kayla told melnick and melnick Tod Steele when she sent the emails to love saying fu

Lady lawyer called orher lawyer and he called defense attorney

  • @TheRealDeal0073 June 18, 2024

He told the court he had non-refundable airline tickets and he would have a replacement Lawyer It was said when he was at the podium .

I subscribed to help you get to a 1000. Your content was good in giving "behind the scenes explanation". And like me from Louisiana; Laissez les bon temps rouler"! Do you know a good civil attorney in Houston? For libel against "wrongful eviction" and harm done to me for submitting false information to police and court. Apt complex own video surveillance will prove they did so.

  • @toddleva June 18, 2024

First off, the Judge looks like Uncle Phil from the Fresh Prince. Secondly, he has fucked this case up so bad. Third, these defendants should not have to wait for the appellate court to overturn this moron. They’ve been locked up for two years. A mistrial just starts everything all over again. They should be found not guilty and the DA’s office investigated for their BS.

How do we get this man more views!!!!

  • @roshellfrancisjones June 18, 2024

Great take on Kayla Bumpkas! I was so caught up on Brian Steel I didn’t consider the impact on Attorney Kayla! What a mess!

  • @feliciafee555 June 18, 2024

Attorney Kayla Bumpkas is the name of the substitute lawyer. Great commentary. Thanks 💜
