The world of hip-hop was shaken on May 9, 2022, with the arrest of the acclaimed rapper Young Thug, a Grammy-winning artist known for setting trends and embodying the Atlanta music scene.
For over two years now, Jeffery Williams, known artistically as Young Thug, has been incarcerated. At the core of the charges against him is the claim that the initials “YSL,” synonymous with his successful label “Young Stoner Life,” actually represent a violent gang: Young Slime Life.
