Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and one of the trial team prosecutors in former President Donald Trump’s criminal hush money trial have agreed to testify before the House Judiciary Committee on July 12, the day after Trump’s sentencing, according to Bragg’s office.
Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio., requested testimony from Bragg and Matthew Colangelo – a member of Bragg’s team who has drawn special ire from Trump – in May 31 letters that he posted on X (formerly Twitter). Jordan said the hearing will focus on the “weaponization” of the federal government, echoing an accusation Trump has leveled without evidence that the Biden administration – not Bragg as a New York state prosecutor – was behind the case.
The hearing could get testy, coming one day after Trump will learn his criminal sentence. Jordan and Bragg will finally come face-to-face on a televised national stage after more than a year of tension over Bragg’s prosecution against Trump.

    If Not, like NY mayor said, this is only for Trump, then it's 100% political, it's election interference.
    If they are, then every single New Yorker needs to get the heck out of NY. or face prosecution with No due process. Over Anything they choose.

    There needs to be a Law on congress members to have to be sworn in, to prevent them from lying, (Nadler), if they do lie there needs to be consequences.
    Members of congress routinely lie, Dems & Repub's. Without retribution, while speaking from the floor of the House and Senate. That protection NEEDS to be abolished for ALL members.

    ALL “witnesses” in Congressional hearings SHOULD HAVE ALL CONFLICTS OF INTEREST DISCLOSED UP FRONT both in their written statement AND with a reminder of such conflicts before each verbal response.

    (i.e., political contributions to one party or another, the amounts, and/or legal conflicts such as payments from or salary from various media outlets which may substantially bias what facts they mis-state for the purpose of spreading misinformation, disinformation, and subverting mal-information … which are facts that are “accurate” but “inconvenient” to their delusional sense of “reality”)

    Mr. Eisen’s elaborate litany of political and financial CONFLICTS OF INTEREST in a politically-infused hearing on the application of law are a “shock to the conscience” when considering him a viable Committee witness.

    Political operatives and paid commentators / employees of liberal media who utilize Congressional time to hawk their own book for sale during witness testimony for personal financial gain are SHAMELESS SELF-PROMOTERS.

    NO CONGRESSIONAL HEARING WITNESS should be permitted to APPEAR BEFORE CONGRESS as a “legitimate” source of factual information for consideration by Congress if they are waylaid with CONFLICTS OF INTEREST and financially motivated to LIE under Oath.

    Instead, they create an “infomercial” for their own product/book and unethically utilize TAXPAYER MONEY (in terms of wasting the time of our taxpayer-funded Congress members).

    Furthermore, as such a hearing witness reiterates their false propaganda messages during written and verbal testimony, under oath and under penalty of law during, as intentional and purposeful misinformation and disinformation SHOULD BE PROSECUTED FOR PERJURY to the fullest extent of the law.
