The imagery definitely plays a role on both the side of the victim and the rescuers. What she is saying is if the “image” of a victim reflects physical bondage, or complete powerlessness, some may very well not recognize that they are being victimized and even people who are supposed to help will not recognize it. Those who are heavily fed the take accountability mantras everything is your fault mantras definitely won’t.
Trying to explain the experience to someone who thinks trafficking has a certain “look” can be detrimental to what kind of help they provide. Remember imagery is a subliminal, if all you see is chains to represent abuse and trafficking, those are the only kinds of victims you will recognize and take seriously.

It’s very obvious that the area that we’ve gone wrong is the fact that no one else has been arrested for going to Epstein‘s pedophile island.

Well, they have no voice until they’re rescued or escape by themselves. That’s the point.

You're complaining that people are making awareness and you don't like the imagery…. Oh, Lord…..

  • Human trafficking often happens through psychological pressure. If someone is in your mind there is no need for chains.
