I thought what Mr Steele said to the judge in court the other day was a good point… the fact that he will be questioning the witness who was in the ex parte meeting on cross… and if the topic of the ex parte meeting comes up, like if Mr Steele asks the witness questions about that meeting… it becomes a conflict when the judge is the one who is sustaining or denying the objections made about any of the testimonies of witnesses who were in the ex parte meeting. It’s a conflict of interest… because now the judge is wrapped up in his own dilemma about it… I feel like the judge has become a part of this case now. And I think that’s a problem. Because the judge is the one who is instructing the jury, and who is ruling on objections, and maybe deciding what can and can’t come into the trial as evidence?

I think that’s a problem if this ex parte meeting is something that the defense want to address in this trial.

I know Mr Steele also said that the judge would now be a witness. So, the judge will be both the judge and a witness taking the stand? Who will be ruling on objections? It’s just all mixed up

30:06 I loved that witness lol. When they were putting photos in from of him and asking him to identify people he would just turn his head and not look at the photos 😅
