Young Thug’s lawyer Brian Steel made clear this morning he doesn’t think the jury should hear any statements Kenneth “Woody” Copeland made to police in 2015 because he has not denied making the statements, he’s only said he was lying when he made them.
Once he got that out of the way, Steel argued that if statements are going to be played, he wants a particular portion of the Jan. 28, 2015, interview between Woody and Detectives Lakea Gaither and Tyrone Dennis in which Gaither and Dennis
Steel wants Woody’s theory about Rich Homie Quan played because “it shows another person falsely accused by Mr. Copeland.”
