In the case of Status Music , they used the video in question as part of their content that provided commentary and analysis of the video’s content. This use falls squarely within the parameters of the Fair Use Act, as it is a transformative use of the original material that adds value to it by providing new insights and perspectives.Furthermore, Status Music did not use the entire video, but rather only a portion of it that was necessary to illustrate their points. This limited use is another factor that supports the argument that Status Music use of the video was fair.I understand that the copyright holder may feel that their rights have been violated, but it is important to remember that the Fair Use Act exists to balance the interests of copyright holders with the interests of the public. In this case, Status Music use of the video falls squarely within the bounds of fair use and should not be considered an infringement.
